We have all experienced a time in our life where we hit a rut or slump. It is important in these times that we don’t become complacent with this. Taking a step back and reevaluating where we are spending our time and what we are spending our money on can prove to be extremely beneficial. Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what our priorities are when it comes  to getting us back to the best versions of ourselves.

Below are 4 personal investments you can make to start to reinvigorate your life and burst you out of that slump!

A break from social media

It’s important to take time to unplug from the social media world. Being constantly glued to your phone or laptop can be exhausting and we tend to lose sight on what is truly important to us. Instead of focusing on other people’s highlight reels and timelines, you can begin to concentrate on creating your own real life highlights! There are numerous benefits to detoxing yourself from this online world; it’s time to delete those apps and reap the benefits!

Clothes that make you happy

It is unavoidable, we wear clothes every day! Studies have shown that the way you dress can actually affect how you hold yourself in conversations and even how you walk. People tend to dress how they want to feel or want others to perceive how we are feeling. Human nature tends to lean our decisions towards clothes that bring back good memories or have gotten us compliments in the past. This investment can be made by even simply finding a bra that compliments every outfit or even a new and trendy two piece outfit all of your friends are jealous of!

Decluttering your belongings

Whether it’s simply rearranging the furniture in your room, repurposing old decorations, or completely going through everything you own, decluttering your surroundings can give you a whole new perspective. It will feel as if you are living in a brand new space! Putting time and effort into this will help you reset and refocus on the goals you have set for yourself. It is time to let go of those vacation souvenirs that have been collecting dust or that yoga mat that has been sitting in the corner for months!

A trip to collect your thoughts

I have found that this investment tends to make people feel almost selfish. However, this is a time where you need to be focusing on you and taking steps towards being the best and truest version of yourself. It could be a day trip away to look at some gorgeous views, or if you are more of an inside person, a spa trip would be perfect! It’s time we start to enjoy our own company!
