Hey guys! Today I want to share with you some tips and tricks for Redecorating in a Day! Some of you may have a room in the house that you’ve never gotten around to decorating, or you have a room that just needs a little extra TLC. Well, it doesn’t have to take a lot of time or effort to give your space the finishing touches it needs!
We have a small bedroom in the front of our house that we also use as a home office. I’ll be showing you examples of how I freshened up this room!
First, you’ll want to completely clean out your room. Cleaning everything out will help make it easier to build it back the way you want. This is where you’ll arrange your furniture the way you want as well.
Don’t feel like you have to buy all new furniture. Take an inventory of what you already have in your house and how you can reuse it. For example, we had two bookshelves that used to be in our living room until we created a home bar. We took those book shelves and put them on both sides of the desk to add a little more character and storage for the home office.
Now that you have a clean slate, start with what you want to stand out the most in your room. Because we were redecorating a bedroom, we decided the comforter was the most important feature this room would have. We chose this gorgeous Lady Antebellum comforter set from (℅) Bed Bath Beyond! Lady Antebellum’s Heartland™ is a collection featuring designs inspired by the band’s lifestyle, songs and stories. We love love love having a southern yet modern look to our home, so this collection was perfect for us!
Next you’ll want to purchase (or again inventory what you already have in your house) a few accent pieces that pull out the dominant and complimentary colors of your comforter. For us that meant a lot of blues and reds.
You’ll be amazed at how big of a difference adding a new bedspread and a few decorative pieces will make! These small, simple changes that you can do-in-a-day will make such an impact to your room!
Hope this inspires and helps you with redecorating on your own!
