You guys, this stuff tastes SO fresh you’ll never want to buy store bought guac ever again! I got this recipe a looong time ago while on a family vacation. My parents, sister, and I went to a pretty snazzy upscale mexican restaurant and ordered a guacamole appetizer. Little did we know, the waiter would roll out a cart with all the fresh ingredients and prepare the guacamole right there in front of us. I got to see exactly how it was made and was shocked at how simple it was and how few ingredients were used! I wish I could remember the name of the Restaurant but for the life of me I can’t.. something Rose maybe? ANYway, best guacamole recipe ever!
– 3 ripe avocados
– 1 small onion, finely chopped
– 1 medium tomato, diced
– about 1/3 cup chopped cilantro leaves
– about 3 tbsp lime juice
– salt & pepper
Cut each avocado in half, remove pit, and scoop out avocado from skin into a medium mixing bowl. Mash avocados with a fork until smooth.
Then add your chopped onions, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro to mix.
Once that’s all mixed together add your lime juice and salt & pepper to taste. I use more salt then pepper and a lot of lime juice, but that is all personal preference! Just add a little at a time until it’s just the way you like it 🙂
